Straight answers about Sheet2Notice

Sheet2Notice is easy digital signage from Google Sheets. It turns a published spreadsheet into live wall displays for TVs, monitors, kiosks and websites. Live templates include Queue Display, Metric Cards, Schedule Board, and Notice Board with Promo Slides, Video Playlist, Poster Wall and ticker presets. The spreadsheet is the CMS; Sheet2Notice is the presentation layer.

No account is required during early access. When you generate a display you get a manage link (and an owner cookie in that browser). Bookmark the manage link — it restores edit access on any device. Keep it private.

Sheet2Notice refreshes each display's sheet snapshot from Google at most about every 15 seconds. Open TVs poll a content-hash version endpoint about every 5 seconds and reload only when the snapshot changes — so many wall screens share one Google pull.

Yes. Use File → Share → Publish to web. Sheet2Notice only reads published sheets. Use queue tokens, public lobby metrics and public dispatch boards — never patient names, account numbers, medical records, certificates or other confidential data. Anyone with the published URL can access that source.

Yes. Put each display in its own tab, publish the entire spreadsheet, and paste the URL while the intended tab is active. Its gid tells Sheet2Notice which tab to read.

In the builder: Queue Display, Metric Cards, Schedule Board, Menu Board and Notice Board. Split Queue and Counter Screen are Queue layout presets; Operations, Reception and KPI are Metric Cards presets; Flight School Dispatch, Shop Board, Gym Class Schedule, Coworking Room Board, Meeting Room Display and Clinic Staff Board are Schedule Board presets; Notice Ticker, Board + Ticker, Poster Wall, Welcome Lobby, Promo Slides and Video Playlist are Notice Board presets — same sheet engines, different defaults. Production, leaderboard, warehouse and delivery boards are coming soon.

Add Token, Counter and Status columns to a sheet. Status values Serving, Waiting, Called and Done control what appears as now serving versus the waiting list. Ticket still works as an alias for Token. Open TV Mode on the wall screen.

Grouped by status, Split (serving | waiting), or Serving only for a single counter. Theme, token size, wait labels and URL filters (?status=, ?highlight=) are configurable — the sheet shape stays the same.

Metric Cards is a standard Title, Value sheet (optional Subtitle, Unit, Status, Icon, Color, Order). Operations, Reception and KPI catalogue entries are presets of this same block — pick Metric Cards in the builder, then change Layout.

Schedule Board shows timed slots with location, event, owner, time and status. Flight schools use Tail / Model / Student headers; shops use Bay / Vehicle / Job; gyms use Station / Class / Coach. Presets only change defaults such as hide-completed and lobby ticker. The lobby ticker can use manual text or the Notes column from the sheet. Status aliases include In Flight, In Progress, Waiting Parts, Ready and more.

Yes. Notice Board supports Media URLs (images and direct .mp4/.webm), Board + Ticker zones, Poster Wall, Promo Slides, Video Playlist (muted clips that advance when finished), and Active / Show From / Show Until timing. It remains available alongside Queue, Metrics and Schedule.

Yes. Choose Video Playlist under Notice. Put public https .mp4 or .webm file URLs in a Video column — not YouTube pages or Google Drive share links. Clips play muted (required for TV autoplay), then advance. Optional Seconds cuts a long clip early.

Yes. In the builder choose Public page → Developer Projects (or Shipping Log, Profile Links, Freelancer Services). Generate from a published sheet, then Publish public page for /p/your-name. Same sheet powers the page; optional TV Mode still works.

An optional indexable webpage at /p/your-name, fed by the same Google Sheet as your TV. Use it for menus, notices, developer projects and schedules you want Google or AI assistants to discover. TV Mode and share links stay noindex. Publish it from the success panel after you generate a display.

No. A public page is indexable and includes structured data plus a clear summary so search engines and AI tools can understand it. Rankings still depend on your content, competition and links. We do not sell guaranteed Google or LLM rankings.

You get a 6-character display code plus links: (1) Short TV link /t/CODE — or open sheet2notice.com/go on the TV and type the code. (2) Short share link /s/CODE (QR included). (3) Manage link — bookmark this; open it later to change settings with sync. (4) Optional Live public page at /p/your-name for search/AI. Legacy long /tv and /w links still work. The manage link is not shown as a QR — keep it private.

TV Mode is the wall-screen URL — fullscreen typography, clock and auto-refresh for Smart TVs and kiosks. Use the short /t/CODE link, or open /go and type your code. Use the gear for theme, zoom, layout and filters. Settings sync when this browser owns the display (right after generate, or after opening your manage link).

Open your saved manage link. It restores edit access and opens TV Mode, where the gear syncs theme, layout, zoom and filters. The public TV Mode and share links are for viewing only.

Yes. In display options paste a public https image URL for Company logo. It appears in TV Mode (and on the share page). Sheet2Notice branding remains unless you request brand removal.

Optionally. Turn on Queue chime in display options. When a token becomes Serving or Called, the display plays a soft chime after the next sheet refresh (about 15 seconds). On the TV, tap Enable chime once so the browser allows audio.

Any browser-capable screen: Smart TVs, Android TV, Fire TV, Windows PCs, iPads and phones. Displays can also be embedded on websites that allow custom HTML.

It is easy digital signage for spreadsheet-powered walls — a lightweight presentation layer, not a full media-playlist suite. Your Google Sheet remains the CMS. See /digital-signage.

Yes. Use the share link for people and QR codes, and TV Mode for the wall. Bookmark the manage link separately so you can change settings later.

Yes. Add query params to the share or TV Mode URL, or use Show presets in the TV Mode gear. Queue supports status (serving, waiting, called, done) and highlight=true. Metric Cards supports status (good, warning, danger, neutral) and color. Schedule Board supports status (scheduled, flying, briefing, delayed, weather, maintenance, complete, cancelled) and highlight=true. Combine values with commas, e.g. ?status=flying,briefing.

No. Share pages, TV Mode pages and iframe pages use noindex directives and are excluded from the sitemap and crawler access rules.

No. Sheet2Notice reads published Google Sheets only and does not ask for access to your Google account. That is intentional for early access — treat the sheet like a public webpage.

Publish the sheet to the web, generate a Sheet2Notice display, then open TV Mode with the short code (sheet2notice.com/go on the TV browser) or the /t link. Do not cast or mirror the spreadsheet UI. Sheet2Notice TV Mode renders Queue, Metrics or Schedule layouts with large type and no spreadsheet chrome.

Open sheet2notice.com/go in the TV browser, type your 6-character display code, bookmark TV Mode, disable sleep, and leave it running. A Chrome stick is more reliable than some Smart TV browsers for always-on walls. See /guides/smart-tv-kiosk.

TV Mode shows sheet sync age (“Updated Xs ago”) in the header and gear panel. If it stops moving, check Wi-Fi and that the sheet is still published.
