For flight schools
Put today’s flight schedule on the dispatch TV — updated from Google Sheets
Show aircraft tails, students, instructors and status on the FBO or briefing-room wall. Ops edits a published Google Sheet; every lobby screen follows. Public dispatch data only.
In one sentence
Sheet2Notice Schedule Board turns a published Google Sheet into a live flight school / FBO dispatch display. Typical columns are Tail Number, Aircraft Model, Pilot / Student, Instructor, Departure Time and Status. An optional lobby ticker carries runway, weather and fuel notices.
Why flight schools use a sheet-powered board
Dispatch changes constantly: weather holds, squawks, student swaps and delayed fuel. A whiteboard goes stale; desktop software stays on one desk. A published sheet keeps the briefing lounge TV honest for everyone in the room.
- Part 61 / Part 141 training schools
- FBO and flight school dispatch desks
- Briefing lounges and student waiting areas
- Maintenance / squawk visibility on the same board
What the TV shows
Each row is a slot. Status drives colour and grouping — In Flight, Briefing, Delayed, Weather, Maintenance, Scheduled, Complete or Cancelled. Flight School Dispatch hides completed rows by default so the board stays live-only.
- Tail numbers and aircraft models at a glance
- Student and instructor initials for lobby privacy
- Lobby ticker for runway closures, density altitude and fuel price
- TV Mode fullscreen on Smart TV, Fire TV or a browser kiosk
Public data only — treat the sheet like a lobby whiteboard
Sheets used by Sheet2Notice are published to the web. Use initials, tails and operational status — never certificates, medical information, payment details, passwords or private contact lists.

Questions, answered
What people ask before starting
Can we put full student names on the board?
Only if that information is already meant for a public lobby. Prefer initials. Never publish certificates, medical or billing data in a sheet published to the web.
Does this replace our scheduling or SMS system?
No. Sheet2Notice is a presentation layer for what you already decide to show on a wall. Bookings, payments and private records stay in your existing tools.
Can one sheet drive the lobby and a counter TV?
Yes. Use URL filters such as ?status=flying, briefing on one link and the full board on another — same published tab.
How do weather holds and maintenance show up?
Set Status to Weather or Maintenance. Put the reason in Notes (for example ceiling or squawk). The board highlights those rows so dispatch and students see them immediately.
